Tui very well placed to promote positive learning outcomes

Tui Early Learners has earned the highest praise possible from the Education Review Office.

Following its review of our centres, in early August ERO released its finding that we are “very well placed” to promote positive learning outcomes for children and it does not need to review us again until 2021.

ERO made special mention of our teaching staff and how they encourage children in our centres to become competent learners. “Leaders and teachers respond to their emerging interests through providing a wide range of educational experiences.  Numeracy, literacy, science, music and geography are meaningfully included in the learning programme.”

The review praised the farm visits our children take part in during our Nature Explorers Programme and the physical environment at our centres. “Areas of play are well resourced to extend their thinking and exploration.”

The report mentions our lower children to staff ratios (1 teacher to 3 children for under two’s and 1 teacher to 7 students for over twos) and the safe environment. “Respectful practice is highly evident in all interactions. Infants and toddlers benefit from the calm, nurturing environment. Positive child and teacher relationships foster a strong sense of security for these children.”
